In a world where anybody can write anything at any time, the power of the written word is more important than ever.
Writing is constantly changing and evolving, along with the way we do business. I also have a background in business, which makes me ideal to edit business writing and to create web content.
After working in retail sales and management for 10 years, I know a lot about customer service and the work it takes to inspire others to perform. I was also in Human Resources Development for Longs Drugs for 5 years. During that time, I traveled the West Coast doing all types of training, from traditional classroom style training to facilitating small groups. I taught over twenty classes in areas like departmental knowledge and management skills. My passion has always been reading, writing, and being of service to others, so editing gives me a chance to do what I love. When I am editing for clients, I do more than just edit punctuation and grammar. I want to make the writing as strong as possible. I want the writing to be in the client’s own words, but better. I want a client to say, “Yes! That’s exactly what I meant to say!” I’m known for being easy to work with because I meet deadlines cheerfully and offer helpful advice without being critical.
